Three matching systems, not one
Most dating apps make the swipe feed the center of everything. Lalita gives you several different ways to discover people because compatibility is multidimensional. You can use ordinary swipe discovery, look for people who share your most important life priorities, and explore psychological compatibility through Chapters.
1. Swipe Discovery
Express attraction with Like, permanently pass with Nope, or defer the decision with Skip.
2. Life Priorities
Choose exactly three priorities from twenty life goals and discover people whose priorities overlap with yours.
3. Chapters
Answer behavioral scenario questions to build an eight-dimensional psychological profile and receive compatibility percentages with other users.
These systems can be used independently. Filters work with the discovery experience so you can decide what kinds of profiles you want to see while the matching systems help you understand who may align with you.
Swipe discovery: Like, Nope or Skip
Lalita keeps the familiar simplicity of profile discovery, but gives you three different decisions instead of forcing every profile into a permanent yes-or-no judgment.
Like
Like someone to express interest. If they Like you back, you match and can continue the conversation privately.
Nope
Nope is a permanent pass. The profile will not return to your feed.
Skip
Skip means “I want to think about it later.” The profile disappears temporarily and can return later, so a momentary hesitation does not have to become a permanent rejection.
Life Priorities: match on what matters to you
Lalita asks you to choose exactly 3 priorities from a list of 20. The limit is intentional: instead of marking everything as important, you identify the things that genuinely matter most to you.

Chapters: psychological archetype matching
Chapters is Lalita’s psychological matching experience. Instead of asking you to write a paragraph describing your personality, it presents behavioral scenarios and multiple-choice responses. The goal is to learn how you naturally respond to situations.

For example, a Soul Match can show an 84% Match and explain the connection with a sentence such as: “The Mountain and The Bridge care about the same things in life.” Another match might explain that two people notice and care about how others are feeling, or that their pace through life—planned or spontaneous—lines up well.
The important point is that Chapters is not simply a list of personality labels. It gives you a structured way to explore how you and another person may align psychologically.
Verified charitable giving before the first conversation
Lalita connects its dating experience with a Donation Center powered by Pledge. Users can donate to charities of their choice. Confirmed donations contribute to a cumulative Generosity Badge on the user’s profile.
Donation amounts made in different currencies are converted into USD for the cumulative profile total. The displayed amount represents verified charitable giving made through Lalita’s Donation Center.
Users control whether their generosity information is visible. If the user turns the display off, the generosity amount is not displayed on their profile.
Lalita takes nothing from the donation. The dating platform is free, and the charitable contribution is separate from any subscription or premium system.
More than 20 dating preferences and filters
You can narrow discovery using a broad set of preferences covering age, gender preference, distance, country, city, relationship goals, relationship status, nomad preference, physical attributes, smoking, drinking, pets, health, education, languages, zodiac sign, food and diet, family plans, intimacy preferences, and personality traits.
You can leave a preference at Any when you want to stay open. You can also use Global Discovery Mode to remove geographic restrictions and discover people anywhere in the world.
Talk in a public community space—or privately
Lalita currently has one global public chatroom where registered users can talk in real time without first matching. It gives new and existing members a shared place to meet, converse, and get a feel for the community.
If you Like someone and they Like you back, you can move from the public discovery experience into private match-based conversation.
