What is Lalita?
Lalita is a free web-based dating platform that combines profile discovery with Life Priorities, Chapters psychological compatibility, verified charitable giving, broad filters, a global public chatroom, and 24/7 human support.
Is Lalita really free?
Yes. Lalita's core dating experience is free to users. Core features are not placed behind a premium subscription.
Do I need to download Lalita from the App Store or Google Play?
No. Lalita is a Progressive Web App and can be used directly in a web browser at lalita.app. On supported devices, it can also be added to the home screen for an app-like experience.
Matching
How does a Lalita match happen?
In swipe discovery, you Like someone and a match is created when that person Likes you back. Lalita also provides separate discovery through Life Priorities and Chapters.
What is the difference between Like, Nope and Skip?
Like expresses interest. Nope permanently passes on a profile. Skip means you want to think about it later; the profile is deferred and can return to your feed.
What are Life Priorities?
Life Priorities is a matching system where each user selects exactly three priorities from 20 life goals. Lalita uses those selections to identify and rank people with overlapping priorities.

What is Chapters?
Chapters is Lalita's psychological matching experience. It uses behavioral scenario questions with multiple-choice responses to create an eight-dimensional psychological profile and assign one of 12 archetypes.

What are the eight Chapters dimensions?
The eight dimensions are Empathy, Conflict, Structure, Values, Attachment, Social, Risk, and Resilience.
How many Lalita archetypes are there?
There are 12 archetypes: The Compass, The Deep Current, The Spark, The Mountain, The Wandering Architect, The Rising Tide, The Harbor, The Quiet Flame, The Bridge, The Bright Field, The Gentle Storm, and The River.
What does the Chapters compatibility percentage mean?
It is a compatibility score calculated by comparing users' eight-dimensional psychological profiles. Lalita can also provide a short explanation describing the alignment between two people.
Can I see Chapters compatibility before I match?
Yes. The compatibility percentage can be shown as part of the discovery experience so you can use it as additional context before deciding whether to interact.
Generosity
What is the Generosity Badge?
It is an optional profile signal based on verified charitable donations made through Lalita's Donation Center. The cumulative amount is converted to USD and can be displayed on the user's profile.
Does Lalita keep any of my donation money?
No. Lalita does not take money from the charitable donation. Donations are processed through the Donation Center and Pledge, and confirmed transaction information is used to update the cumulative giving amount.
Can I hide my generosity amount?
Yes. Users can turn the generosity display off. When it is off, the donation amount is not displayed on the profile.
Can I donate to more than one charity?
Yes. Donations to different charities can contribute to the same cumulative verified giving total.
Community
What is Global Discovery Mode?
Global Discovery Mode removes geographic restrictions so you can discover people from any country. It is available without a premium subscription.
What filters does Lalita have?
Lalita provides more than 20 preference filters covering age, gender preference, distance, country, city, relationship goals, relationship status, nomad preference, physical attributes, smoking, drinking, pets, health, education, religion, languages, zodiac sign, food and diet, family plans, intimacy preferences, and personality traits.
Does Lalita have a public chatroom?
Yes. Lalita currently has one global public chatroom where registered users can talk in real time without first matching.
Can I chat privately?
Yes. Mutual Likes create matches, after which users can continue the conversation privately.
Does Lalita have human support?
Yes. Lalita provides an in-app support chat with a human support team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Is Lalita available worldwide?
Lalita is web-based and designed for global access. Users can also use Global Discovery Mode to discover people regardless of geographic distance.
Does Lalita's algorithm decide who I should date?
No. Lalita provides matching signals and discovery tools; the user decides who to Like, Nope, Skip, message, or meet. Compatibility scores and badges are additional context, not a command about whom to date.
